Special Visitor!

Yesterday year 1 and 2 had a very special visitor! Peter Pan! He came to do some drama with us! We went on a very exciting adventure to try and steal some treasure from the evil Captain Hook! We did freeze frames of our story!

The first freeze frame (Below) is of the Darling children sleeping in the nursery and Peter Pan and hs shadow are creeping in through the window!

The next freeze frame is of Captain Hook and the evil pirates who have stolen the treasure!

This freeze frame is of the mermaids at Mermaid Lagoon.

Our last freeze frame is of Captain hook having to walk the plank and the children cheering as he does!

We had a brilliant morning!

Beautiful Bluebells

Yesterday, the whole school went on a walk to the woods to see the beautiful bluebells.  We paired up across the age ranges and walked across the water meadows to the woods. We had a lovely time and luckily the weather was on our side!
Here are some photos of Reception and Year 1 on our walk!

MONKEYING AROUND

There was a strange visitor in the classroom today which led to lots of monkeying around!
The children creatively acted out their own versions of the book "Monkey and Me" by Emily Gravett that they have been studying.

It was lovely to see their new-found confidence and acting skills!

HANDY HANDWRITING.

The children concentrated very hard during their handwriting class.

They were so enthusiastic about producing their neatest letter formations and took great pride in their excellent work.
Well done children!

Measuring problems

Today we were solving a range of problems based on measures. Some of us were outside throwing beanbags and measuring how far we threw it using non-standard units of measure.

Others of us were inside problem solving using coins and investigating problems about days of the week!

Capacity relay and Temperature measuring

Today we had a capacity relay, we had to race to fill up our jug to a given measurement and then, quickly, do another until our entire sheet was completed!

We also had a temperature quest - Find the hottest place in the school!
