Safety day

Today was safety day and we were learning how to cross the road safely.

We agreed that in order to stay safe we had to:

* Find a good place to cross.
*Stop.
*Look both ways.
*Listen for any traffic.
*Look again.
*Walk across the road and continue looking.

We went for a walk around the village to look for good places to stop and then we practised crossing the road safely.

Scratch Jr!

Over the past few weeks we have been learning how to programme using a range of different APPS.

We have used A.L.E.X. and Kodable to support our learning in programming.

We have discovered that we have to use a really clear, precise set of instructions to make accurate movements.  We learnt the word 'Algorithm' which means a really clear set of instructions.

Today we have been working on Scratch Jr. We had a challenge to get the Scratch cat along the screen from left to right and it was trickier than we first thought!

Here are some pictures of us working in partners to programme the Scratch cat.

Mini Olympics

This morning we competed in Mini-Olympics organised by Dacorum sports.
We competed in relay race, curling, a space hopper race, penalty shoot out and many other activities.

Out of 7 schools we came 4th place with over 1000 points!

We had a terrific morning, here is a picture of us with our Great Britain and Great Gaddesden flags!
