Go Cheer!

Today we had our first Cheerleading session!

We had such a good time learning different cheer movements, we then practised our forward rolls before we started to do do some stunts when we were lifting people in our groups.

After that, we got out the pom poms and started to learn a dance routine! We really enjoyed our cheerleading session and cannot wait until next week for our nest session.

GO CHEER!

Today we were acting out Wallace and Gromit's Grand Day Out. This will help us write a recount of their adventure.

This afternoon we inspected Mrs. Lilley's car. We looked at all the different parts and labelled them on a diagram. This will help us design our own vehicle in Design and Technology.

Marvellous Maths!

In maths today we were looking at big and small numbers. We had to use mathematical symbols to show which numbers were bigger.

We were using <  >  We think they look a little big like a crocodile's mouth so we say:

'The crocodile always eats the biggest number!'
For example:  12 <  56

We started off using just one crocodile, then we started to use 2 and it was tricky!

Here is some of our work from today.

Diary Entries

This week we have been reading The Diary of a Wombat. We have then been writing diaries about our own lives.
Today we wrote a diary entry all about our favourite day of the week. We had to include the word 'because' and write about how we felt on our favourite day.

Here is Aaron and Harvey's diary entry for today.

Healthy eating!

Our new topic in Science is Animals including humans with a focus on diet.

Today we were looking at different foods that are good for us. First, we classified different foods into 'healthy' and 'unhealthy' then we classified them into food groups they are: Protein, oils and fats, fruit and vegetables, Carbohydrates & dairy.

Then we looked at different drinks and measure out the amount they have in grams. We were surprised as we didn't realise there  would be that much sugar in our drinks!

After that, we created our own healthy breakfasts, lunch, snacks and dinners on plates.
